Welcome to the school where “understanding hearts and positive attitudes” thrive. Students demonstrate understanding hearts as they help each other on projects and work together on assignments. Teachers exemplify understanding hearts by showing compassion and concern for every student. Student athletes display positive attitudes as they work hard on the field and on the court to represent Lugoff-Elgin Middle School with pride. They listen the coach’s instructions and follow through by applying themselves in the classroom. Teachers express positive attitudes as they work with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and incorporate a variety of instructional strategies into their lessons. Community members and parents represent “understanding hearts and positive attitudes” by attending school sponsored activities and athletic events. Every stakeholder is responsible for contributing to the productive school culture at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School and we all benefit from the results.
