I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1989 and began teaching chemistry the same year. I taught in North Carolina for thirteen years until moving to Camden in 2002. At Camden High School, I also taught chemistry before becoming an assistant principal. I earned a Masters in Education in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University in 2004 and became an assistant principal in 2005. I completed an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina in 2009. In February 2010, I was named interim principal at Camden High School. In July 2010, I became principal of Lugoff-Elgin Middle School.
